Matt has an extensive career spanning over three decades in the music industry. His expertise covers engineering, production, songwriting, and musicianship, making him a highly skilled and versatile individual. Classically trained in the violin, viola, and piano, Matt's passion for music is also evident in his proficiency in guitar, bass, and a range of stringed instruments such as mandolin, pedal steel, and Dobro. As orchestras began to decline in the early 90s, he transitioned into the studio. Starting as a tea boy, Matt worked his way up to the roles of assistant, engineer, and finally producer at the prominent Matrix studios in London. Since then, he has ventured into freelance work, touring the world with acts such as The Who, Paul McCartney, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, Ed Sheeran, and Jessie J. He has also written for multi-platinum selling artists, including Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams, and composed for advertisements, television, short films, and backing tracks. Matt owns and operates his own music studios in South London. He is also launching a new online company that specialises in beats and backing tracks.
